Five or so years ago, when I had considerably more hair and considerably less stoutness about the tum, I met this bloke in the pub – the kind of bloke the word ‘cadaverous’ was invented for. The name he goes by on the Webbernets is SeraphyGoodness, and so that is the name by which we shall call him. At some point we got to talking about nerd games and he mentioned that he played this thing called Warmachine and that if I fancied a change from 40K I should maybe give it a whirl.
My first run of Warmachine games were all against Seraphy’s Khadorans and, later, when he, I and a couple of other lovely people picked up Hordes together, his Legion. When he decided he had no time for Mercenaries, he passed them on to me (starting that ill-fated metal heavy Magnus army that I used to have), and now he’s done the same with his Khador. He’s moving, you see, and doesn’t really want to take two armies with him, and he hasn’t really done anything with the Khadorans in two or three years. I mentioned that I wanted some Khadorans to use for Iron Kingdoms roleplaying and… yeah. I have a Khador army now.
The assorted citizens of Imperial Khador now in my possession just about amount to a Warmachine army, too. Witness!

No idea whether it’s any good or not, but it looks moderately hitty and it’s got a few guns and some interesting deployment shenanigans – and the Butcher. When all else fails, it’s got the Butcher. I might have to give this one a spin at some point. Just to see.
